Cross-country! J L K

On your marks, get set, GO! Finally, the race has started and we are running our best. I run into the Stevenson’s farm and follow the cones like a lamb following her mother. Finally, I reach the train-tracks and I slow down a little, I recover and keep on going. There I see Mrs. Evitt and I was starting to feel really saw and tired. I reach the Domain and see Mr. Dombroski, I was getting thirsty, I started to run a little bit faster, I came out of the Domain and I was back on the train-tracks. I reached the school field, that’s when I started to feel nervous, my shoes were muddy and I was trying really hard. I heard my mum say, “Keep going Bella!”, I looked at her and waved, then I carried on. Suddenly, I sprinted as fast as I could to get past two students. There it was waiting for me, the royal finish line, I felt happy when I went through the finish line. I think I came 3rd or 4th place. I was proud of myself. I felt like I was going to die, I had a moment, then I went and got a drink and went home.

Room 6's New Teacher!

Room 6 now has a new teacher her name is Mrs. Alcock. She comes Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mrs. Alcock is teaching us Science Investigation and Gravity/Space! She is also making us run after lunch everyday because we have Cross-Country in 6 weeks and so she is trying to get us as fit as possible.

The rest of the days that Mrs. Alcock isn't here Mr. Ratana  teaches us and he is training us for Cross-Country as well!

We might be trying the Bleep Test soon!  The Bleep Test is sort of like a running fitness where you have to keep in pace with  the time. You can compete yourself too, we don't know what it is like yet but we think it looks pretty fun because we had a little look on YouTube at what the Bleep Test was.

Thank you, and please comment!

Hi followers this video clip is about  Tokomaru school visiting the fire station and we get to go through the smokeroom! It was really cool when we went through because it was my first time going through and when we came out of the smoke room we got to have a drink and a lollipop and we had to go through again but this time we had to listen for the breathing noise and follow it!When we came out we got a Firewise booklet and another lollipop! After that we learned not to play with matches and not to let children light candles and to know where to put a candle. I hope you followers like my blog please comment and enjoy!

Japan Radiation

The Japan radiation is very risky and DEATHLY! We hope that no one will be harmed again just like that and it appears to be that the radiation is in Europe now it has come in through the water and hopefully it doesn't reach anywhere else! Good luck to you all in Japan and Christchurch!

Monday 21 March 2011

Last week I did the Tokomaru School triathlon and it involved lots of running and biking. We had to do swimming too but I didn't participate in the swimming. I don't know what place I came and I didn't mind participating in the triathlon but I am not really a sporty girl.

The Japan Earthquake

There was another earthquake in Japan and all sorts of tsunamis too the radiation is very very risky in Japan so they never know when it is going to hit and lots of people are trying to get out of Japan 9.0 is the earthquake rating and 300 people are dead in Japan. Soon we might have some new exchange students and we wish all of our luck to Japan and Christchurch.

The Christchurch Earthquake!

The Christchurch earthquake was the biggest earthquake in New Zealand and 250 people are dead and the steeple in christchurch has demolished 5 times now and of course now it is destroyed and all the schools in christchurch are not available so thats why some students have come to Tokomaru School from christchurch and everyone is getting out of christchurch.
